The Society’s periodical publication “Zeitschrift des Deutschen Palästina-Vereins” (ZDPV – Journal of the German Society for Exploration of Palestine) is free to members. Articles cover topics of relevance to the cultural history of the Southern Levant, including archeology, topography, iconography, the science of religion, social anthropology, philology, and literature. Book reviews and notes and news of the society are included.
In addition, the ZDPV is the official bulletin of the German Protestant Institute of Archeology in the Holy Land (Deutsches Evangelisches Institut für Altertumswissenschaften des Heiligen Landes). Editors are Prof. Dr. Jens Kamlah, Prof. Dr. Achim Lichtenberger und Prof. Dr. Markus Witte. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by an interdisciplinary and international team of scholars.
Two issues per volume are published annually totaling about 200 pages including illustrations. Bookstore price is Euro 50.00. Some earlier volumes are still available and can be back ordered online. The ZDPV is jointly published with Harrassowitz Verlag, Wiesbaden.
